Our Projects
The Education Committee of Hunhu Council of Fashion is committed to enhancing the educational opportunities in the Zimbabwean fashion industry through the Creative Accelerator Program.
The Creative Accelerator Program (CAP) aims to empower female creatives from disadvantaged communities to reach their full potential and succeed in the fashion industry. Through a 16-week, intensive program, CAP focuses on enhancing creative and life skills through workshops and practical exercises. Workshops cover areas such as visual identity, surface embellishments, draping, entrepreneurship and leadership skills. It provides mentorship from industry experts, allowing participants to gain insights from successful designers, marketers and leading female entrepreneurs. The program fosters innovation by encouraging the development of unique, sustainable fashion brands that reflect African identity and contemporary design practices. Additionally, CAP creates a supportive community where creatives can collaborate, share ideas, and support each other. Overall, CAP's objective is to empower Zimbabwe’s female creatives to become economically empowered and impactful contributors to the fashion industry.
