Rooted in Zimbabwean creativity and heritage, the Hunhu Council of Fashion is shaping a dynamic, multi-platform ecosystem that supports designers from development to global market access. Through initiatives spanning education, retail, and industry programming—including Zimbabwe Fashion Week and Hunhu Colectiv—we are actively driving economic growth, fostering innovation, and positioning Zimbabwean fashion on the global stage. Our work goes beyond storytelling; we are building infrastructure, creating opportunity, and defining a future where Zimbabwean design is both culturally grounded and internationally competitive.

The ZFW2025 Business Program, presented by the Hunhu Council of Fashion, brought together designers, policymakers, investors, and cultural leaders to explore the future of African fashion through dialogue, strategy, and collaboration. Rooted in the philosophy of Hunhu, the program bridged creativity and commerce, connecting heritage with innovation while it addressed key themes such as sustainability, ethical e-commerce, textile sovereignty, and cross-border partnerships. Through curated panels and immersive sessions, it positioned fashion as both a creative force and an economic driver, offering a collective vision for a more inclusive, globally connected African fashion industry.
Zimbabwe Fashion Week Trust was a proud recipient of the Creative Actions 2 grant in 2023, supported by the Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Trust through the European Union. As a Zimbabwean fashion designer now entrusted with overseeing Retail and Sustainability for the Hunhu Council of Fashion, I have had the privilege of witnessing the evolution of Zimbabwe Fashion Week (ZFW) over the past decade. This event has become more than just a showcase; it has acted as a vibrant, dynamic platform for both emerging and established designers, giving us a space to connect with industry peers, fashion scouts and buyers across the globe.
